"Samantha"

Fantasy, Adventure, and Romance blend in this novel with twist after twist. It's a first person account of the extraordinary life of a girl with an unusual past, an unstable present, and a very uncertain future. My favorite cast of characters yet with a faster pace, more edge-of-your-seat action, and better romance than any of my other novels!

Samantha Book One

Book One has been published as an e-book!

Sneak Peek:

In a flurry of movement with flashes of metal, guns are drawn on both sides. The room falls silent. Only occasional heavy breathing can be heard. It feels as if time has paused for a moment while each individual analyzes the situation and evaluates their options. It is impossible to consider every scenario – too many factors, too many people crowding this building.

“Bring her over here.” It is the man that shot the gun what seems like so long ago. No one seems surprised that he is the first to speak, but it does snap everyone from their thoughts. Time is no longer paused, but it still feels slower than before. Only two men are no longer frozen. They have both taken a step towards Samantha when she realizes she is the only “her” there.

She stands firmly between the two groups, gun drawn now in an unwavering hand. Her pursuers hesitate until their leader speaks up. “Put it down.” He sounds amused.

“Or what?” is her quick response, which is met with a chorus of chuckles.

“Where did you find her, Mr. O’Riley?” Samantha snaps around to see Mr. O’Riley’s reaction to this direct address. She is surprised they know each other, but Mr. O’Riley isn’t fazed.

“I’m…” Samantha is quickly cut off. She allows the interruption from Mr. O’Riley, being more confused than insulted.

“This is Mr. Colman’s niece,” he lies.

Samantha Book Two

Sneak Peak:

Everything was so loud and frantic. I felt faint. A large hand on my arm kept me conscious. It pulled me to my feet and its pair grasped my other arm. I felt my eyes roll.

“Samantha! Come on Samantha snap out of it!” The voice was imperative and the clutch was rough. “Don’t faint on me Samantha,” he said shaking me. “Mathew needs you.” That brought me back, but I was still lightheaded and weak. My eyes focused on a man that could’ve been a stranger. Steven’s face was so changed with worry and stress and everything else. I nodded. He tossed me onto his back, ran across the room, and deposited me next to a pool of blood with Mathew in the center. I leaned over him and touched his face with shaking hands. Melissa held a blood-soaked rag over his abdomen. He was scarcely breathing. I tried to concentrate, but it was nearly impossible. Tears began streaming down my cheeks.

“I…I… don’t know…I can’t,” I stammered. I felt so weak. I wasn’t even sure I had the strength to heal myself if needed.

“Get it together Samantha,” Steven urged.

“You’re fine. You’ve done it before. Just calm down and take your time,” Melissa soothed. I tried to slow my breathing. My hands still shook, but not as severely. My body ached. My head throbbed. My eyes threatened to roll into a faint. The noise in the room began to sound as if it were moving farther away or maybe it was me who was drifting away.

Stella Book Three

Sneak Peek:

“And beyond all those things… outside these walls.”

“Stella, you’ve heard the stories before. There is nothing outside these walls.”

“But I don’t understand.” My curiosity had gotten the best of me.

“Close your eyes,” she had instructed me. I did. “What do you see?”

“Nothing,” I answered sadly. I understood what she was trying to tell me. I knew what “nothing” meant, but I was certain that something must be on the other side of the walls.

“That’s what is beyond these walls.”

“Something used to be there though,” I asked more than stated.

“They destroyed it.”

“Who?”

“The bad people.”

“Who were they?”

“Stella you know the answers to these questions. Are you trying to waste my time?”

“No ma’am. I’m just trying to understand. What did they destroy?”

“The bad people destroyed everything, Stella. That’s it. That’s all you need to know. Now if you can’t refrain yourself from any more idiocy, please excuse yourself and sit in the hallway.” I didn’t ask anymore questions…ever.
